Since 1975, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado has served our region by promoting local philanthropy. As part of our ongoing effort to be the regional leader in building a more engaged, philanthropic and visionary community, we host an annual event that focuses on an important concept: celebrating the generosity of Northern Colorado citizens. This event is not a fundraiser; it is an informative celebration of giving and an opportunity to connect with community leaders, donors and volunteers. This event grows each year in levels of attendance and impact, bringing together people who care about our region.

Featured Speaker

Salim Ismail was the founding Executive Director for Singularity University (SU), based at NASA’s Ames Research Center. SU is a visionary university addressing humanity’s greatest challenges through the use of exponentially advancing technologies. Ismail founded or operated seven early-stage companies and was a Vice President at Yahoo, where he launched and ran Brickhouse, Yahoo’s internal incubator. He sold his last company, Angstro, to Google in 2010.

As a speaker, strategist and entrepreneur, Ismail recently addressed Community Foundation leaders from across the nation on the use of creative philanthropy and innovative resources to tackle complex multi-sector social issues. Ismail will bring Northern Colorado residents a unique perspective on the accelerating impact of technology and innovation in shaping our future.
