The Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of well-known community leaders from throughout Northern Colorado. Trustees are selected for having demonstrated personal involvement in civic affairs and a high level of commitment and philanthropic leadership in our community. This group is responsible to the community for the overall management and growth of the Foundation, including its fiscal and investment policies. Constance Dohn, Chair
Connie is a certified public accountant and chief financial officer for Dohn Construction. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has 25 years experience in the accounting and auditing field. She and her husband, Doug, established the Dohn Family Fund in 2005. She has been a Trustee since 2008.
Chris Otto, Secretary/Treasurer
Chris is a partner in the audit service area of EKS&H and has been involved in public accounting since 1990. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Kansas. Chris and his wife, Julie, established the Otto Family Fund in 2006. Chris has been a member of the Community Foundation's Fort Collins Community Fund Committee since 2006, and he joined the Board of Trustees in 2011.
John Roberts, At-Large
John earned a bachelor's degree in international affairs from the University of Colorado and a master's degree in regional planning from Cornell University. He served in 19 countries as part of his work with the United States Foreign Service; after retiring from that role, he served as an adjunct professor at Colorado State University. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2008.
Cathy Schott, At-Large
Cathy holds credentials as a Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Retirement Services Professional. She has been a member of the Wealth Management team at First National Bank since 1984 and co-owner of Aggie Discount Liquors with her husband, Richard, since 1981. Cathy is a graduate of the University of Washington Pacific Coast Banking School. She and Richard established the Richard and Cathy Schott Family Fund in 2012. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2011.
